Smog City, New York is a major city and port in southeastern New York, situated on the Atlantic coast at the mouth of the Hudson River. It is situated on many islands, linked by bridges. Smog City is home to the vigilante Flare, but left to start a new life in Emerald City.

Founding[]
Smog City was founded in 1635, with restaurants already being established in 1900 and delis later in 1912. In 1914, the mansion of the city's founder was constructed.
The police academy was established in 1955.
Crime Wave of the Century[]
In Late 2014, the crime wave of the century hit Smog City.

- Asylum City: Takes up forty acres 26 city blocks. This was the last major undeveloped district in Smog City. Formerly, there was a progressive development plan that would raze the shanty towns of this district, and in its place build new affordable housing for Smog City's less fortunate. There was an old asylum, replaced with a state-of-the-art mental health facility.
